Pull Up

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

Pull Up helps you discover what is happening around you, share live Moments and connect with places and gatherings nearby. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have.

1. Information you provide

When you use Pull Up, you may give us information directly, including:

  • Your username, display name, bio and profile image
  • Authentication details, such as sign-in information from Apple or another supported sign-in method
  • Content you post, including Moments (photos and videos) and captions
  • Details you add when you host an event, such as the event name, description, timing and access settings
  • Messages you send us through support requests
  • Reports you submit about other content, places or users

2. Location information

Pull Up is built around discovering what's happening nearby, so location is central to how it works. We may use your location to:

  • Show you places, events and activity happening nearby
  • Position you and nearby activity on the map
  • Calculate distance to places and events
  • Suggest relevant venues and gatherings
  • Associate a Moment you post with the place it was taken
  • Support arrival-related features, such as letting a host know you're on your way
Turning on location does not mean other users can see your continuous, real-time location. Pull Up uses your location to power discovery and arrival features. It does not broadcast a live location feed of you to other users.

Location permissions are controlled through your device settings. You can change or withdraw location access for Pull Up at any time from your device. Depending on your settings, some features that rely on location may not work as expected if access is turned off.

3. Camera, photos and videos

Pull Up may ask for access to your camera and photo library so that you can create a Moment. Media is only uploaded when you actively choose to post it. Once posted, your photo or video may be processed for delivery, compression, storage, moderation and safety purposes as part of running the service.

4. Moments and the 24-hour lifecycle

Moments are designed to represent what a place feels like right now, and normally expire from public visibility after approximately 24 hours.

When a Moment expires, it stops being publicly visible in the app. This doesn't necessarily mean every copy of it is instantly and permanently erased from every system at that exact second. Limited copies may temporarily remain where reasonably necessary for backups, abuse prevention, security, moderation, handling reports, legal obligations or technical recovery. These retained copies are not made publicly visible again once a Moment has expired.

5. Hosted events

If you host an event on Pull Up, we store the information you provide to create it, including the event name, category, description and details, location, timing, access setting (public or request-approval), any banner image or media, and your association with the event as host.

6. Public and restricted event locations

Events can be set to public, where the location may be shown to users browsing Pull Up, or request approval, where the exact address stays hidden until the host approves a request to attend. We don't display a restricted address to anyone who hasn't been approved by the host. Please don't publicly redistribute a private event address you've been given access to without the host's permission. Being approved for a restricted address doesn't override any age restriction or other legal requirement that applies to that event; hosts remain responsible for using the right access setting and age limit for their event.

7. Places and the map

Places shown on Pull Up's map may come from information Pull Up has added, public location information, or activity from the community, including places created automatically when someone posts a Moment somewhere not already listed. A place appearing on Pull Up does not mean that venue or business has partnered with, endorsed or approved Pull Up. Your own location is not automatically shown to other users on the map. The map reflects places and activity, not a live feed of individual users' positions.

8. Pull Ups and activity

We process interaction and activity information to operate features like Pull Ups, activity and engagement indicators, recommendations, and abuse prevention. A Pull Up reflects a user's interest or intention to go somewhere. It is not used, and should not be treated, as proof that someone was physically present at a place.

9. Automatically collected information

Like most apps, Pull Up may automatically collect certain technical information to keep the service running reliably and securely, which can include things like device model, operating system, app version, IP address, crash logs, diagnostics, general interaction data, and performance information. The exact information collected can change as the app evolves.

10. Notifications

If enabled, Pull Up may send you notifications, for example about an approved request, an event you're interested in starting soon, activity happening nearby, arrival prompts, reminders to post a Moment, event cancellations, or account and safety updates. You can manage notification permissions from your device settings.

11. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • Provide and operate the Pull Up service
  • Power nearby discovery and the map
  • Host and display Moments
  • Operate hosted events and access requests
  • Provide recommendations
  • Maintain security and prevent abuse
  • Moderate content and enforce our Community Guidelines
  • Troubleshoot problems and provide support
  • Improve and develop Pull Up

12. Public information

Some information is, by its nature, visible to other users, including your username, display name, bio, profile picture, public Moments, hosted events and their details, and other activity you choose to make public. This does not include private, request-approval event addresses, which remain hidden until a host approves access.

13. Moderation and safety

We may use a combination of automated systems and human review to help keep Pull Up safe, including reviewing reported content, Moments, events and accounts for violations of our Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.

14. Service providers

We work with third-party service providers that help us run Pull Up, which can include infrastructure and cloud hosting, authentication, maps and location services, analytics and performance monitoring, content moderation tooling, push notifications, and payment processing for optional paid features. These providers process information on our behalf and only to the extent needed to provide their service to us.

15. Data retention

How long we keep information depends on what it is and why we hold it. Public Moments are generally visible for approximately 24 hours, as described above. Other account and activity data may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate your account, and to meet legal, security, support, fraud-prevention or backup requirements, even after a Moment has expired or content has been removed.

16. Account deletion

You can delete your Pull Up account at any time from inside the app. See Delete your account for step-by-step instructions and what deletion means for your data.

17. Your rights

Pull Up is launching from Ireland, and depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, which can include the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the information we hold about you, object to certain processing, request a portable copy of your data where applicable, and withdraw consent where our processing relies on it. This section is a general summary and isn't legal advice. If you want to exercise any of these rights, please get in touch using the details in the Contact section below.

18. Age requirements

Pull Up is intended for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly permit people under 16 to create or use a Pull Up account.

Some places, events and experiences available through Pull Up may have higher age requirements, such as 18+ entry. These restrictions are set by the relevant host, venue, organiser or applicable law, and must be followed. They don't change the platform-wide minimum age to use Pull Up itself.

Being able to see or access an event on Pull Up does not mean you're legally eligible to attend it. We may remove or restrict an account where age requirements aren't met, or where we reasonably need to for safety or legal reasons.

19. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

20. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as Pull Up changes. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
